origin, age, sex, or disabilities are excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Any person having inquiries concerning compliance with Title IV (Race), Title IX (Sex), or Section 504 (Handicap) is directed to contact the Administration Office. 1.10.a TITLE VI, TITLE IX, SECTION 504 ADA, AND STANDARD XV In keeping with the guidelines of Title VI, Section 601, Civil Rights Act of 1964; Title IX, Section 901, Education Amendments of 1972; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; Standard XV of Act 445 of 1983, "The Quality Education Act of 1984", and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, The Quitman School District assures that no person shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicapping condition in accordance with State and Federal law. Such individuals will not be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity offered or being conducted by the Quitman School District. Title VI prohibits discrimination on the basis of race. Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex. Federal Age Discrimination in Employment law prohibits discrimination to individuals who are age 40 or older. Section 504 and the ADA prohibits discrimination on the basis of handicap.
